More About My Experience...

My editing journey started in 2020, while I was studying for my BA in Creative Writing and English Literature at London Metropolitan University. I began by line editing children’s fiction and non-fiction, eventually branching out to work on some adult genre fiction too. Soon after I graduated, I launched a literary magazine, Toil & Trouble, which publishes themed issues bi-annually on Ostara and Samhain.

In June 2023, I joined an award-winning independent children’s publisher, Sweet Cherry, and led multiple projects as both a Junior Editor then Development Editor. I managed a list of middle-grade fiction and non-fiction, but I worked on everything from picture books to YA fiction as well.

Luke Paton, Author of Football Rising Stars & Greatest Football Stars

‘Millie was my editor for a series of 20+ children's books, and her encouragement and enthusiasm made the process a dream. She worked hard to get facts and small details right while never losing sight of the bigger picture. She was always on hand to answer questions or communicate essential deadlines or feedback, too. I couldn't be prouder of the books, and Millie's committed, reliable and personable approach was a huge part of making them such a success.’
